In the watch making world and also in the world of high-speed car racing, there is this strict rule named ‘the absence of superfluity’ which adheres to function dictating form; there is neither use nor room for an approach driven solely by aesthetics.
To me, the same rule applies in the world of digital / product design, every element whether in a user interface or any digital product must be an element of functionality tied with an appetite for aesthetics which in the end serves the user, the company and any future development.
Tarek Marzouki is a product/visual designer and a photographer.
His passion for the art milieu started at the age of six when he used to draw characters from anime and translate them later into clay form
As stated in the manifesto above, the aim is to always keep that fine balance between aesthetics and functionality; focusing on creating bespoke, effective & engaging digital experiences while always keeping in mind the stakeholder’s vision.Â
From the other end, Tarek is a methodical thinker and a lover of honing one’s reflective and analytical abilities whether through seeking knowledge, life’s diverse endeavors or sometimes through a quiet & simple conversation with a friend.
When he’s not doing any of those crafts, you will find him exploring the world around him whether on foot far away in a remote village looking for a natural spring or driving through ‘what feels like’ an endless and enigmatic mountain road that leads to eternity or simply reading a good book. All and all, he approaches everything he does with the same sense of passion and determination while constantly learning and practicing life.
